Taylor Made Bullmastiffs

Striving to produce dogs with excellent temperament, health and structure

Tank (Taylor Made Tank 2.1)

He is a better version than 1.0. Tanky is a very special boy. He was the first puppy to be born, and he was the biggest puppy of the litter. When we first saw Tanky, he looked much darker than the other puppies in the litter, but initially we did not think anything of it. Then, as Tanky was growing up, we started noticing that he looked a little different than the other puppies in the litter. After extensive research and conversations with other breeders, we realized that Tanky was a longhair Bullmastiff. Go figure. These guys are very rare. Both parents have to carry the long hair gene, and then there is a 25% chance that the puppy will be affected if both parents carry the gene. Well, Tanky got it. We fell in love with Tanky from the very first moment. He has a very loving personality and we cannot imagine our lives without him. As much as we love Tanky, we unfortunately will not be able to show or breed him, as AKC does not recognize this flaw in Bullmastiffs.

We also unfortunately learned that a lot of breeders will never admit to ever having this gene in their line, and unfortunately some even euthanize these babies just because their coats are a little longer than normal. We cannot imagine anyone being capable of doing something like that to a perfectly normal puppy, who is a Bullmastiff in his/her heart, looks and acts like one. These babies make wonderful wonderful pets, who will love their human families unconditionally.

Please enjoy this beautiful thing we call Tank 2.1
